1. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features:
- Account information: When you create a family account, we collect a display name and, optionally, an email address.
- Family data: Tasks, routines, rewards, and progress you create within the app are stored securely to enable Family Sync across devices.
- Device information: We collect anonymised device identifiers and crash data to diagnose issues and improve the app.
- Usage data: We collect anonymised analytics data (such as which features are used) to improve the app experience.
We do not collect payment information. We do not sell your data to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the app's features, including Family Sync
- To send push notifications for reminders and task updates (only if you have enabled notifications)
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs
- To understand how the app is used so we can improve it
3. Family Sync & Family Code
Gammy & Poppet includes a Family Sync feature that allows family members to share tasks, routines, and milestones. To join a family group, users enter a Family Code. Family data is stored securely in the cloud and is only accessible to members of that family group.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Firebase (Google): Used for secure data storage (Firestore), user authentication, push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and crash reporting (Crashlytics). Firebase may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the address below. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.
6. Children
Gammy & Poppet is a family app intended to be used by families together. Child profiles within the app are created and managed by a parent or carer. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All family data is managed by the adult account holder.
7. Push Notifications
We may send push notifications to remind family members of tasks, routines, or milestones. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored securely via Firebase.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
